New ThruTalk upgrades!

Big ThruTalk news! We’ve rolled out updates that make calling easier to manage. We now have a more flexible Starting Question, more time-tracking in Caller Activity Details, a refreshed Campaign Summary page, and a new voicemail recordings view. Plus, expanded GOTV support hours to carry you through Election Week.

ThruTalk Starting Question Update

We’re making the Starting Question more flexible while keeping data quality intact!

  • Edits for VAN‑sync scripts: Add additional canvass results to the Starting Question (selecting from your VAN options) so they sync cleanly with VAN.
  • Custom responses in non‑VAN scripts: Add additional response options to the Starting Question.
  • Note: The eight default Starting Question responses remain fixed: you cannot remove them or rename their labels.

For more details, review our guide Creating a ThruTalk Script (section Default Starting Question), and if using VAN sync scripts, review our guide How to Set Up VAN Syncing Campaigns in ThruTalk (section Starting Question - Canvass Results).

Caller Activity Details Report New Columns

We’ve updated the Caller Activity Details export to give more visibility into how callers spend time. New columns break out time in Ready, Wrap Up, and Start Session states, plus a catch‑all Transition bucket for edge cases. The new custom_results column will be a count of all results from Starting Question customization. For definitions of all the columns in the export, review our guide ThruTalk Export Types (section Caller Activity Details Report). For other details on the report, review our guide Caller Activity Details Report.

ThruTalk New Campaign Summary Layout

We’re thrilled to introduce the new and improved ThruTalk summary page design — built to deliver a smoother, superior user experience! Click a campaign link to see the refreshed layout. The update includes the following new post-launch features:

  • Add new callers or new PatchThru targets to active campaigns
  • Disable or generate a new campaign caller invite link anytime you need

Check out our guide ThruTalk Campaign Summary Page for more information.

New Voicemail Recordings Table

We have an overview of all incoming voicemail recordings across ThruText and ThruTalk! You can review any incoming voicemails received on your campaigns, and access a link to the corresponding campaign for each recording. Check out our guide, Voicemail Page, for more details.

ThruTalk Integrity

If you're calling during this election cycle, we highly recommend submitting ThruTalk Integrity registration. Submitting your organization details and CNAM to carriers helps reduce spam labeling and increases the likelihood that contacts will answer your calls. If your account has not yet filled these both out, your ThruTalk Campaign Index Page will show the sign up form. See our guide ThruTalk Integrity for details on registration.

2025 Election Deadlines and Cut‑offs

Heads up for Election Week. To make sure your texting and calling programs run smoothly, please note two key timelines:

  • New Account Cut-Off: After Fri, Oct 31, we’ll pause accepting new election-related account requests. 10DLC vetting times make on-time approval unlikely. If you need a new account, submit your info in our sign-up form or contact sales@getthru.io before the cut-off.
  • Use Case Cut-Off: New 10DLC use cases submitted on Mon, Nov 3 or Tues, Nov 4 will not be reviewed until Wed, Nov 5 so our team can keep Election Week operations running smoothly.

We want to ensure our clients are set up for success, thanks for planning ahead!

Please reach out to support@getthru.io if you have any questions!
